The original version of a gag I rather liked. It’s also a sort of proof of concept for another idea knocking around the ether.
Hint: It doesn’t.
Oyster Bay has approved the sale of some land to mall developer #1 that is next to property owned mall developer #2. Oyster Bay has been fighting mall developer #2 for 18 years. Why are they fighting developer #2? They don’t want #2 to build a mall.
Having that nasty bit of exposition out of the way, here’s a rough sketch that I quite like.

Here’s another of my “unclaimed gems”.
In the Suffolk County Legislature, Legislators are known to jump on the bandwagon and co-sponsor bills they may have been opposed to once their passage seems certain.
